The Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior, Arizona, is said to be the oldest botanic garden west of the Mississippi. Desert flora like these wildflowers with spiky agaves and yuccas such as this silvery Yucca rostrata add to the exotic atmosphere of flowers in the Sonoran desert.
